Commissioned portrait of a Maine Coon cat, from a reference photo taken by her people. (No one "owns" a cat.) The portrait was drawn in colored pencil on mylar drafting film, which is translucent, and laid over pearl gray Stonehenge paper, with some pastel on the paper. The mylar is a very durable substrate, matte finish and faintly frosted. It can be worked on both sides and on the underlying support, giving a depth and luminous quality.
